Martin Giampaoli, PT
BS of Physical Therapy:
- California State University of Fresno, Class of ’87
I, Martin Giampaoli, have been a licensed physical therapist for the past 37 years. I started working at Peninsula Hospital at the age of 16 years old while going to school and coaching sports atthe Burlingame recreation department. Sports and medicine became a passion and a natural evolution to becoming a physical therapist.
As part of the quest to achieve my professional goal, I attended California State University Fresno, CSUF. It was at CSUF that I not only earned my degree, but found my wife and soulmate, Kari. We ultimately moved to Rocklin; raised a family, and served the greater Sacramento region for more than three decades.
Hobbies and Interest:
Gratefully, I had the opportunity to coach my son’s baseball teams through his teens, and my daughter’s elementary school basketball teams. In addition to coaching, I was equally blessed to partner up with a winemaking friend and develop a small winery called Vinos dos Rios. Wine making and analysis, picking, bottling, becoming a “cellar rat”, accounting, etc., was too time consuming and thus lasted only eight years. My leisure time has now been occupied with either cooking, golfing or fitness.
Most of my clinical and continuing education has focused on sports and manual therapy. This depth of study has paralleled nicely with the groups of injuries I have enjoyed treating – orthopedic cases ranging from spine care to sports medicine.
